Send Prepaid Mastercards on Web Platform
1. Login to your Guusto account on the web.
2. Navigate to Send Gifts using the navigation menu.
3. Under the Gift Details section, navigate to the Merchant drop-down, and select either Prepaid Mastercard (Choice) or Prepaid Mastercard (Virtual).
Prepaid Mastercard (Virtual):
The recipient would receive a Virtual card to use instantly online (USD or CAD) or to add to a digital wallet to pay with Tap.
Fees associated with Virtual card:
$0 fee for gift values of $50-$1000
The Prepaid Mastercard will expire 6 months from the date that it was redeemed on, and is valid through the last day printed on the card.
Prepaid Mastercard (Choice):
The recipient would have the option to choose whether they would prefer to have a Physical card (USD or CAD) mailed to them, or a Virtual card to use instantly online (USD or CAD) or add to a digital wallet to pay with Tap.
Fees associated with Choice card:
$5 fee for Gift Value of $50-$105
$10 fee for Gift Value of $106-$260
$15 fee for Gift Value of $261-$514
The fee is deducted from the Gift Amount and includes any printing or shipping costs. If you sent a $100 gift, the recipient would receive a $95 Physical or Virtual Prepaid Mastercard.
The Prepaid Mastercard will expire 6 months from the date that it was redeemed on, and is valid through the last day printed on the card.
4. Fill out the remaining information on the Send Gifts page and click on the Next Step button.
5. Fill out recipient information and any additional gift notes.
6. Click on the Next Step button.
7. Review your order details on the Payment page and click the Confirm Order button.
Send Prepaid Mastercards on Mobile App
1. Login to Guusto Mobile App.
2. Navigate to Send Gift.
3. Select gift type (i.e. Guusto Card, Lunch, Coffee, Movie, etc).
4. At the 'Merchant' page, select I will choose merchant.
5. Select either Prepaid Mastercard (Choice) or Prepaid Mastercard (Virtual). See above for notes on fees and expiration.
6. Set gift value and click Next Step.
7. Enter recipient contact information and edit the gift message then click Next Step.
8. Select the account making a purchase and click Send Gift.
To add Prepaid Mastercard as a merchant option, your company needs to apply for security verification from Mastercard by submitting the following forms:
BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP CERTIFICATION for privately owned companies.
Please allow 8-12 business days for the verification processing time.
Note: Mastercard will only approve programs that will spend more than $1000.
