Managing Shoutouts as an Admin

Learn how Workspace Admins manage Shoutouts—track stats, approve entries, run draws, and review recognition trends

As a Workspace Admin, you can manage and monitor Shoutouts across your organization to recognize employees, promote engagement, and track participation. You’ll access this tool by navigating to: Workspaces > Manage Shoutouts

From there, you'll find four main tabs:

  • Overview

  • Leaderboard

  • Shoutouts

  • Reasons

Each tab provides unique tools to help you oversee recognition efforts and ensure everything runs smoothly.


1) Overview

The Overview tab provides key participation metrics at a glance, including:

  • Total Shoutouts

  • Average Sent Per Member

  • Total Sent Shoutouts

  • % of Members Participated

You can filter the data by date range, location, department, and more to drill into trends and recognize standout engagement. Use this section to monitor program health and promote a culture of recognition across your workspace!


2) Leaderboard

The Leaderboard gives you visibility into top recognition activity. You can view:

  • Top Senders and Receivers of Shoutouts

  • Filtering Options by date, department, location, cost center and more

  • Draw Feature to randomly select winners from a selected date range


To run a Shoutout draw:

  1. Go to the Leaderboard tab.

  2. Use filters (e.g. “Last 30 Days”).

  3. Click Run Draw to randomly select recipients.

  4. Export or announce results as needed.


3) Shoutouts

The Shoutouts tab displays every nomination submitted in your workspace, including the sender, recipient, reason, and message.

You can:

  • Filter by date, member, department, location, cost center and internal notes

  • Export filtered lists for reporting or communications

  • Approve nominations (if approvals are enabled)

  • Submit a nomination on someone’s behalf

4) Reasons

The Reasons tab gives insight into why employees are being recognized. As an admin, you can:

  • View the top 5 most-used Shoutout reasons across your organization

  • Analyze trends to see which values are being celebrated most

  • View and export the full list of existing recognition reasons

This section helps you ensure your Shoutouts align with company values and track which behaviors are being reinforced over time.
