Please note that some retailers may not accept virtual Mastercard® or Visa® cards. To help avoid any issues, we recommend using the retailer's Buy Online, Pick Up In Store option whenever available.
Step 1: Access Your Virtual Card in Guusto
Log into your Guusto account.
Click Redeem Gifts.
Select your gift and click View Details.
Click View Gift Card to access your virtual card details.
Step 2: Add Your Virtual Card to Your Amazon Wallet
Log into your Amazon account.
Click Account Profile.
Click See all options.
Select Your Payments.
Click + Add.
Choose Add a credit or debit card.
Enter your virtual card details from Guusto.
Click Add and Continue.
Select your billing address.
Click Use this address.
Click Continue.
Your virtual card is now saved in your Amazon Wallet and ready to use.
Please note we recommend using the Reload option (Step 3A) to add funds from your Mastercard Virtual card to your Amazon account balance. After reloading your balance, you can combine those funds with a credit or debit card to complete your purchase. Alternatively, you can use the Virtual card directly at checkout (Step 3B).
Step 3: Choose between Reload Amazon Balance or Use Your Virtual Card During Checkout
A) Reload Amazon Balance
Click Account Profile.
Click See all options.
Select Manage gift card balance
Click Reload Your Balance
Under One Time Reload, Input Reload amount (Min $5)
Click Buy Now (1)
Ensure your saved Mastercard® or Visa® Virtual Card is selected.
Click Place your Order (2)
You will be redirected to the payment verification page. Please do not close this page (3)
For Mastercard virtual or Visa Virtual, no code is needed, and the order will be processed automatically (4)
The card will be automatically added to your Amazon account once you receive the email notification. It will then appear as Gift Certificates at checkout, as shown below, allowing you to place your order.
B) Use Your Virtual Card During Checkout
Add your desired item(s) to your Amazon cart.
Click Proceed to Checkout.
Under Payment Method, click Change.
Select your saved Mastercard® or Visa® Virtual Card.
If the card has not yet been added:
Under Payment Method, click Add a payment method.
Select Add a credit or debit card.
Enter your card details.
Click Continue.
Review your order details.
Click Place your order.
You will see an order confirmation message once the purchase is successful.
Important Information
Can I use both Mastercard® and Visa® virtual cards on Amazon?
Yes. Both Mastercard® and Visa® virtual cards can typically be added to Amazon as payment methods.
Why was my card declined?
Common reasons include:
If your purchase amount is higher than your Mastercard balance, Amazon may decline the transaction; We recommend using the Reload option to fully utilize the funds available on your prepaid Mastercard or Visa virtual card.
Ensure your billing address matches the one associated with your Amazon account when prompted.
Incorrect card details entered.
Can I split payments on Amazon?
Amazon typically does not permit split payments using multiple credit or debit cards for a single order.
