Step 1: Claim & Redeem Your Guusto Gift
If your Guusto gift was sent to you via email or text message, click the “Add to My Account” button in the message. This will open a web browser and take you to the Guusto platform.
2. Log into your Guusto account, or sign up if you don’t have one.
3. Once logged in, click “Add gift to My Account.”
4. Type a short thank-you message to let the sender know you've received the gift, then click Confirm.
5. Your gift will now be added to your Guusto account.
Step 2: Redeem Your Gift Toward Mastercard
6. Within your Guusto account, go to Redeem Gifts and you can claim the gift directly and click on View Details for the already claimed gift from list of gifts in your account.
7. Enter the amount you'd like to redeem and select either Physical Mastercard or Virtual Mastercard as the merchant.
Physical Mastercards require a minimum of $28, allow up to $520 per card, and have some fees that are deducted from the value of the Mastercard. Virtual Mastercards require a minimum of $10, allow up to $1000 per card, and have no fees.
You can split your gift into multiple redemptions if your total gift value exceeds the $520 limit.
There are no per-use fees for prepaid Mastercards, meaning you can make multiple transactions as long as the card still has a sufficient balance.
Please note: If you do not see Mastercard as merchant option, your company or gift sender must first apply to be able to offer Mastercard as a merchant selection by submitting an application. A) Virtual Mastercard (CAD or USD)
Use it instantly online or add to your digital wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Pay) for tap payments.
Works in Canada and the U.S.
Virtual Mastercards have no per-use fees, ensuring that users can utilize them freely until the card balance runs out.
To Access Your Card:
Click “View Gift Card”
You’ll be redirected to the Mastercard Rewards website.
From there, you can:
View your card number, expiry, and CVV
Track transactions and card status
⚠️ Important Notice: Due to a recent Mastercard policy update, some Virtual Mastercards may not be compatible with Digital Wallets. We're currently working with our partners to review this change and explore possible solutions.
B) Physical Mastercard (CAD or USD)
Delivered to your mailing address in 8–12 business days.
Fees (deducted from the gift amount):
$8 fee for $28.00 – $108.00
$15 fee for $109.00 – $265.00
$20 fee for $266.00 – $520.00
💡 Example: If you redeem a $100 gift for a Physical Mastercard, the final card value will be $92 after the $8 fee is applied.
Enter your mailing address (this will be used for mailing you a Physical card or for your Billing Address for security checks when shopping online).
Reasons for Delays in Physical Mastercard Delivery
Occasionally, there might be delays in receiving your Mastercard Physical. Common reasons include:
Logistic challenges: Issues within the postal or shipping service might cause delays.
High demand periods: Seasonal gifting peaks can result in a backlog, extending delivery timelines.
Track Gift once the order has been confirmed.
Please Note
Once fully redeemed, the Prepaid Mastercard will expire 12 months from the date it was accessed.
The card is valid through the last day printed on the card.Physical card delivery takes 8–12 business days.
Funds cannot be transferred back or re-issued once the card is created.
