Learn how to deactivate a Workspace Member in Guusto—whether an employee has left your company or you simply need to remove their access. Deactivating a member ensures they no longer have permission to send gifts or make shoutouts through your Workspace, while still allowing them to access their personal account and redeem any previously claimed gifts.
Follow the steps below to deactivate a Workspace Member in your account:
1. Navigate to Workspaces
2. In the sub-menu, click Manage Members
3. In the drop-down menu at the top left of the page, select your desired workspace.
4. Un-check the box under the "Status" column for each Member you'd like to deactivate
Note: Deactivating a Workspace Member will remove their access to the Workspace Member Account. Of course, they can still login to Guusto with their email and password to access their personal Personal Account and see any gifts they have received or any gifts they have sent with their own credit card.
However, they would not be able to select the Workspace Member Account from the dropdown menu in the header bar on any page (Dashboard, Send Gifts, Manage Gifts, Account Funds, Shoutouts, Reports) to see associated Workspace Member data. Also, the Workspace Member would no longer show as an option to send a Shoutout.
